We are back from Berlin!
E-commerce Berlin Expo became our first event this year. ISDK was exhibiting and we were pleased to receive a lot of attention to our mobile and omnichannel solutions. Moreover, networking gave us a lot of inspiration and ideas for future development.
E-commerce Berlin Expo is one of the biggest e-comm events in Europe. Around 5000 visitors, 150 exhibitors from 21 countries, 40 speakers from companies such as Google, Facebook, Otto Group, Swatch Group, and other well-known names gathered together. They shared experiences and talked about potential of mobile, AI and machine learning strategies, customer engagement in the omnichannel world, and industry trends coming in 2019.
Exhibitors included big names such as Avalara, Mollie, Kenshoo, Shopify. There were also many less known yet very interesting solutions such as Bizebra, as an example. This company was demonstrating how scanning a cheese in a store would give a shopper all the product information. This instance evoked many ideas and we thought how this could be expanded and used by retailers for cross and up-selling as well as for helping shoppers to compare products and choose the most suitable.
Our omnichannel solution got a lot of attention, especially chatbots, from companies coming from different industries, such as language courses, computer hardware retail network, online grocery store, and more.
We’ve also established local connections that would help us expand our presence in Europe further.
All in all, the event was a great meeting and learning place for us. We’re looking forward to bringing all the ideas and projects to reality!
