Oilfield service company implementing complex oil and gas facilities
The purpose of the service is providing users with information of the current organizational and functional structure of the Company and the management of the relevant structural units and their employees. The service is an integral part of the Company’s enterprise SharePoint portal.
The territorial distribution of the Company’s divisions and a complex cross structure of the administrative and functional subordination of its various units were a particular complexity in establishing the system.
The following works were carried out within the project:
- Architecture and a functional and graphic design of the system were developed. The UML diagrams and sketch forms of the user’s interface became functional as a result;
- A system code according to the functional requirements was developed;
- The integration of the following systems was implemented for full synchronization of the users’ SharePoint profile data with the personnel records and the enterprise domain:
- Personnel records (1C-Salaries and Human Resources Management) by Microsoft System Center (Orchestration) and
- MS Active Directory;
- User’s and administrator’s guidance were developed.
- The Customer’s key personnel were trained.
- A full test of the system and its starting into the pilot and commercial operation were performed.
The staff directory of the enterprise SharePoint portal was successfully implemented, and it has been used since the beginning of 2014. There are more than 25,000 employees and about 50 functional and administrative units and business divisions in the staff directory. The feedback control response of the system to a user’s activity does not exceed 2 seconds for any type of filtering.
Users of the system consider its ability to quickly search employees virtually by any parameters, including by a part of a word, by a work status, by belonging to certain units of the Company or by other attributes, as its main advantage. It is also noted of the convenience of graphical representation of the Company’s organizational structure in the form of an interactive drop-down tree view.
